When it comes to senior living, families often have a lot of questions. While we’ve answered many of the most common questions about assisted living memory care here, our Campus Marketing Director can assist you in identifying the most appropriate living situation for your loved one.   • A. East Longmeadow’s Life Enrichment Memory Care Program is a specialized assisted living community for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia. Our secure Life Enrichment Memory Care community provides a nurturing environment for residents with mid to moderate dementia or memory loss.

  • A. Habilitation is an approach to Alzheimer’s and dementia care that involves joining the individual in their reality to promote positive experiences and self-esteem. At East Longmeadow, our entire staff is educated in the habilitation philosophy to enhance interactions with all of our residents.

  • A. East Longmeadow Memory Care Assisted Living residents receive priority admission to East Longmeadow Skilled Nursing Center, both for skilled nursing and for advanced Alzheimer’s and dementia care and is subject to availability.

  • A. Assistance with activities of daily living and medication management are covered by East Longmeadow Memory Care Assisted Living’s all-inclusive monthly fee. Your loved on may have their own health aide at their own expense.

  • A. Yes, you can continue to take your loved one to their own physician and other medical professionals. Our staff can arrange transportation to appointments and, if necessary, go with them.

  • A. We offer local, scheduled transportation to appointments. Please contact reception to schedule transportation and let us know if your loved one needs someone to accompany them to the appointment.

  • A. Our entire community has common areas, spacious apartments, and inviting outdoor spaces where residents can visit with family and friends. 

  • A. East Longmeadow Memory Care Assisted Living is an all-inclusive monthly fee community. There is a one-time assessment fee.

  • A. No matter how much attention is needed, one all-inclusive monthly fee takes care of all covered assisted living services, housing, and three daily meals. Additional costs include cable, guest meals, and any specialty services.

  • A. As a not-for-profit community, our focus is on reinvesting in our people, our programs, our services, and our facilities to achieve exceptional outcomes for our residents.
